i was thinking of making a site to sell frisbee disks that my club frisbee team purchases in bulk, we design our own logo on the frisbee. my other idea was selling sketchs, i have alot of drawings i could just scan. for some un-useful product ideas, we could sell fortune cookie fortunes, and a image of a cookie. or creat a site the sells brain power, in that if the costumer have a question he/she can't solve, she could purchase more brain power on our site to help her, in general we just answer questions, ones we can't, we just give some ideas as to what the answer could be.
My first idea is a online company that sells PC games. Instead of selling them and then mailing them to the buyers, I would instead allow them to download the game fully to their pc so they can play the game as soon as possible, instead of having to wait for the cds to come in the mail. I would also add an extra option that would allow the buyer to spend a few dollars more for the cd and the download, so that they can have a hard copy of the game.
My second idea wouldn't be very profitable, but it would be enjoyable. I would buy large quantities of old classic games; such as NES games, SNES games, Atari games, Genesis games, and so on.
Here's my project proposal for buying/selling/swapping items for romance. It hasn't been fleshed out very much, so most of what's below was thought of during the writing of this e-mail. I think that with work, this concept could be feasible. What I was originally thinking about was that there could be certain "date packages" that customers could buy that would, in return, give a certain amount of "romance" (an intangible concept that we probably would need to define. Also with this would be "add-ons" that would enhance the dating experience (such as buying little cutesy stuffed animals, arriving in a limo with roses, wearing cologne, etc.), and these would either add or subtract the amount of romance that the evening would yield. Packages would range from a casual dinner at a college-friendly (read: cheap) restaurant to a night-on-the-town featuring dinner, dancing, and other activities. This would not be about companionship or any form of buying or selling significant others; this is about romance. I call it "eMance.com".
For the e commerce website I was thinking of designing a webpage that reflects the theme of my house (Robot House). The site would sell different types of robots and robotic parts with a similar format to newegg's site (product search, picture, add to cart). A second site could be made with the www.time.com format displaying "robot stories" excerpts and charge to read the full article.
kiestphoto.com program driven template based photo sales system building galleries and pages from XML based data dynamically updating photo preview Cart system with paypal checkout volume sales discounts Potentially profitable site with profit sharing options with programmers . Make templating design dynamic (possibly CSS) to allow for resale of system to other photographers. Java core processing engine
Right now, I'm thinking of making an e-commerce site specializing in building custom RC cars (or robots, if we can do group projects, because we're both in robot house.) Using an xml file in combination with cgi of some sort, parse the parts a user selects, and assemble them on-screen using transparent jpegs, and the xml file for location of wheel wells, wing mount points, length of body, etc. Since this is only a concept e-commerce site, only a limited number of initial images will be used, though the system will be expandable to use a large number of images / parts. It may also possibly calculate thespeed, handling, range, battery life, etc. based on the parts.
Online Food Delivery
This would be a site that provided the menu contents of local
restaraunts that offered food =93to go=94 (but not necessarily for delivery).
The idea would be to allow customers to select food from one (or possibly
more than one) restaurant=92s menu and have it delivered to their address.
There could be a form that would allow customers to submit their orders.
Contract-Oriented Job Site
Similar to sites such as monster.com or hotjobs.com, this site
would connect contractors with people that had work available. This could
apply to any type of contract-oriented work (i.e. not only construction, but
in home computer tech support, electrical work, etc.). Might be a bit more
complex than the scope of the class, but the idea could certainly be
tweaked/modified to be a more simple project.
